I'm a PreKure trained Professional Master Health Coach, Certified NLP Practitioner and the co-founder of a mental health coaching collective servicing the greater Wellington region. 

 

I specialise in a science backed, lifestyle medicine approach to autoimmune disease, gut health and mental health.  

​

With extensive experience in healing my own gut and achieving remission from an auto immune disease, along with successfully managing multiple food allergies and intolerances for both myself and my son from infancy through to adulthood, I've gained a profound understanding of the challenges these conditions can bring.

I promote a whole food, whole person approach to health and mental health.

How would coaching work?

What does Health Coaching or Mental Health Coaching even look like?

  • Book a free 30 minute intro session - let's see if Coaching is for you, if you're ready to make some meaningful changes and if we're a good fit.​

  • Choose your package

  • Fill in your onboarding forms before your first session

  • Book your sessions (usually best to book a chunk so you get the times that you prefer in advance)

  • Accountability between sessions and other inclusions, based on the package you've chosen

  • Think of me as your sounding board, curious friend and biggest cheerleader!

  • Sessions are weekly to start with, then on the longer packages pushed out to fortnightly for the last 2-3 sessions - think of moving beyond the safety of the shallow end in the pool.

Really important to note that as a Health Coach I do not diagnose, prescribe or make any recommendations regarding medications.  Health Coaching sits nicely alongside any treatment you receive from your usual medical provider.

Coaching helps me focus on the changes I want to make in my life.  While I had a general idea in which I was wanting to change Tara focused me on the exact changes I wanted to make and we worked together week by week on the steps we had agreed on that would get me there.

 

I now have a tool box of tips and tricks I can use in specific situations where I feel overwhelmed.  This was fun to work on and created distinct moments of hope and using them has helped me in some not so nice situations.
